About us

Our company was established in 2001 by consultants in the field of optical fibers with previous experience in fiber fabrication processes, especially in preform making by MCVD technology

In the last decade we helped develop, produce, install and start-up a range of fiber fabrication lines in many of the fiber factories across the world (references). We supplied know - how for fiber fabrication for complete factories or for solving particular problems (for single mode , multimode and dispersion modified fibers). We have participated in design of complete optical fiber plants and supported several new installations during start-up period.

Since 2003 Optacore is working from its own laboratory, situated in Ljubljana , Slovenia . Our lab offers excellent training possibilities and an opportunity to further develop fiber fabrication technology with emphasis on preform fabrication through specialized glass deposition processes and fiber coatings

Optacore's development is aimed at making MCVD process competitive and economically feasible in the new market conditions with a range of technical advances that benefit fabrication of standard and specialty fiber products.
